Community Education
Clutch Academy is a community space & education center. Our mission is to connect neighbors by providing a welcoming space to develop a broader knowledge base, share practical skills, and build transformative relationships among working-class Appalachians. All are welcome, though we have a special emphasis on both women and the queer community, as endemic poverty and regional politics have conspired to deprive marginalized groups of these types of third spaces.

How do we do it?
Community Building
Hosting gatherings in a space that emphasizes generosity and kindness and welcomes people of all backgrounds and identities.
Practical Education
Affordable classes & skill-shares taught by regional community members on a wide range of subjects.
Local Aid
Providing resources to those in need around us, including clothing, wellness products, and our growing free library.
People learning, working, and playing together.
Clutch has hosted numerous classes, clothing swaps, and community meetings. Come and join us!
